Formerly known as VLT Energy, Scandpoint was founded by visionary entrepreneurs who shared a common goal – to harness the power of the sun to create a sustainable energy future.
Our journey in the solar energy industry began with that single step of envisioning a cleaner, eco-friendly and more sustainable source of power supply for West Africa. We took the journey further by creating top notch solar energy solutions that goes beyond providing electricity to adding value to the quality of life. This is a testament to our commitment to innovation and making a positive impact on the world.
Since inception, we have been privileged to serve both corporate and individual clients in different sectors and spheres.
As we progress and expand, our focus remains crystal clear: to keep providing solar energy products and solutions that empower our customers to embrace a cleaner, more sustainable, and energy-efficient future for themselves and generations to come.
Our Journey
Scandpoint was founded to proffer affordable renewable solutions to the huge electricity deficit in West Africa.
2010 - Formation of VLT Energy
2013 - We rolled out jobs for Access /Zenith/ GTB, Homes / offices/Schools
2015 - VLT signed partnership with FNB, South Africa
- VLT signed partnership with First National Batteries, South
Africa for supply of high grade GEL & OPZV batteries. - VLT has imported 900kUSD batteries from FNB over the space of 5 years for off-grid installation
2019 - Re-organization to Scandpoint
- VLT re-organized to Scandpoint in order to position herself for growth
- Opened office in Norway ( ongoing) and China to support her growth
program for electricity deficit in rural area and under served urban
dwellers - Scandpoint is positioned for mass deploment of solar home systems.
